“We are not allowed to print Holy Bible in Myanmar, so please pray for government permission to grant us printing permit so we can provide the Scripture needs of our people to build up their spiritual strength and witness to those who do not know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior yet.”
Despite the restrictions mentioned above by a Myanmar believer, there are many translation projects going on. But the task is huge. There are officially 135 different languages in the country— unofficially there are many more. Only about 20 of them have the Bible in their own language; 10 more have just the New Testament. Alongside translation, there is also a need for literacy training, as many people in tribal areas are illiterate.
