PLANTING, WATERING, GROWING
Praise God for a
steady growth of
Christians in
Myanmar. Over the
last ten years the
number of believers
has increased from
around six percent
to nine percent of
the population. This
still leaves much to
do, but there is now
a real momentum
developing among
churches and
Christian
organizations to
proclaim the gospel
in word and deed to all the people.
At the same time, there is a desperate need for funds to finance
such initiatives, as well as personnel to carry them through and
facilities to receive new believers (since the 1960s few permits have
been granted for new church buildings).
Prayer Points
- Pray for the new believers, that they would be well grounded in
their faith and willing to fully trust in God, giving up Buddhist or
animistic practices.
- Pray that they, in turn, would become witnesses to the people
around them and thus be the start of a multiplication effect,
adding many more to God's kingdom.
- Ask God to provide all it takes for this task to be accomplished.
