Praise God for the many faithful Myanmar evangelists who have sacrificed homes and comfort to share the gospel in more remote areas. Sadly, there are not enough outstanding models of servant leaders to disciple the next generation and model biblical principles in real life contexts.
Strong central control in many churches has slowed down church growth. Often, church leadership has tended to follow a dictatorial style. To really grow, churches need God-fearing leaders who demonstrate the humble, loving, serving and sacrificing style of the Lord Jesus, and who are filled with the Spirit, boldly preaching the word of God and calling people back to God. Christian leaders also need to address moral and ethical issues.
Lack of trust between Christian leaders has meant much unnecessary duplication of effort and inefficient use of resources.
